WIDE OPEN

  • Brooklyn Conservatory of Music 58 7th Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11217 United States (map)

Wide Open is a collective of established composer/improvisers using their unique chamber instrumentation to explore new musical terrain, keeping all possibilities wide open. The unique instrumentation of flute, violin, saxophone, trombone, piano, bass and drums allows composers to develop work that draws equally from jazz, classical, world and folk music traditions.

The members of Wide Open have performed and recorded with a stunning range of artists, including Ray Charles, Wynton Marsalis, Sting, D’Angelo, Bruce Springsteen, Kronos Quartet, Bang on a Can All-Stars, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, Woody Allen, Joe Lovano, Lauryn Hill, John Zorn and many more.
